Archivases – Pink Caryatid

For my work I look for inspiration in my immediate surroundings. For Archivases, I was inspired by the facades of Prague buildings, where I started to notice hanging wires, cameras placed next to decorative stucco, graffiti, lights and advertisements. Sometimes I would pause at the ugliness of the scenery, and other times I would marvel at the beauty, because it looked like an art installation, but without its artist. The scenes I saw most often I processed as aesthetic decor on a glass vase. I would like people to recognize elements from architecture in it and make them more aware of details in public space.

UPGRADE: In 2023, I started to purge some of the vases of excess materials. I felt they were redundant to my message.
