They are very ornate, with lids, on pedestals. They're so high up I can't see the full shape of them, let alone the decor. I can only make out that it's a face or a garland, and that further sparks my imagination.
Medusa is my favourite subject, her story is sad and her imagery is often in agony... a celebration of her death. Meanwhile, Medusa was a victim of rape, anger and revenge. I painted her simply as a calmly gazing.
