About / Bio

Dominika Petrtýlová is a glass artist and glass painter. Her main domain is vases. She pushes them beyond a mere decorative object, treats them as a means of expressing her thoughts and elevates them to art objects. However, her other works also include lamps, awards, applied glass and art objects or installations. With glass she likes to combine unconventional materials such as carbon, plastic and bronze. She has found an affinity for the city, pop culture, art history and architecture, all of which are strongly reflected in her work. Dominika works personally on each of her pieces because it is very important for her to participate in the production process and imprint a piece of herself on the work
